A very unusual George III Caddy Spoon made in London in 1813 by Thomas James.

This unusual example has an elongated bowl, engraved with a band of trailing foliate motifs.

The plain fiddle pattern handle displays protruding shoulders where it meets the bowl, which are engraved with prick dot designs.

The Spoon is in excellent condition and is very well marked.

This is a most unusual design by Thomas James and is not shown on plate 25 in Caddy Spoons by Captain John Norie, which is devoted to examples of his work
