A very rare Ottoman Table Box, the fall front opens to reveal an arrangement of 7 drawers; decorated throughout with differing patterns of tortoiseshell and mother of pearl; approx. 17 1/2 inches wide, 12 1/2 inches high and 11 1/2 inches deep. A box of very similar style is illustrated in Monique Riccardi-Cubbitt’s book ‘The Art of the Cabinet’ on page `86, plate 1.
