A very rare George III Wine Label made by Hester Bateman in London circa 1780.

The Label is modelled in a Hester Bateman design, being of crescent form, with a pretty bright cut zig zag border. The face is also engraved with bright cut bands and foliate designs, as well as the title CLARET. This piece is in excellent condition and is well marked on the reverse with the HB maker's mark twice. A typical Hester Bateman design which seldom appears on the market.

Length: 1.9 inches, 4.75 cm.
Width: 1.25 inches, 3.13 cm.
