A Very Rare Elizabethan Oak Corbel. English. Circa 1570

This rare Tudor oak corbel is unusually carved with an apothecary figure holding a pestle and mortar.

Possibly originally part of an interior structure of a chemist.

The figure dressed in Tudor clothing.

Fantastic detail, colour and patination.
