A very rare 15th century oak misericord.
This lovely oak misericord, probably mid 15th century French, is very deeply carved with the figure of a man crouching below the shaped seat with long curled hair and wearing a short tunic and carrying a purse secured on a rope belt.
It is very dry and has never been stained or waxed. It measures 12 1/2 inches wide x 8 inches high and is 7 inches deep.
