Signed Thomas Russell & Son - Makers to Queen Victoria - Liverpool
An unusual and attractive watch. The hallmarks on the front lid show the watch was originally designed for a large opening.
The inclusion of power reserve in a watch with going barrel is not common as the mechanism is more complex than when included on a fusee movement. Russell's use a form of worm gear set into the top plate to achieve it.
