Unusual Gold and Enamel Cylinder Pocket Watch by Brockbanks.

An unusual late 18th Century English centre seconds cylinder by Brockbanks in a pearl set gold and enamel consular case. Full plate fire gilt movement with fusee and chain.

Pierced and engraved cock with small chased and engraved bust on the table, diamond endstone, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, large steel escape wheel.

Winding through the signed gold centre seconds dial, subsidiary chapter above the centre with Roman numerals for time. Matted centre with engraved decoration, blue steel hands.

Gold consular case, the bezels set with a row of large split pearls. Unusual cloisonne enamel back, black ground with translucent polychrome enamel over engraving forming foliate decoration.

Button in the pendant to open the sprung front bezel.
