The Jug is of a very unusual design and the slightly baluster main body is decorated with spear motifs, below a band of trailing foliate prick dot designs.
The front of the main body displays a vacant oval cartouche surrounded by a floral cartouche.
The rim and harp shaped handle are decorated with reeding and the Jug is marked under the pouring spout.
This design is nearly always made by Solomon Hougham and must have been a speciality from his workshops.
