Unusual 18th Century Hardwood Carving of Madonna and Child.
A Colonial hardwood carving of the Madonna and child, possibly Dutch or Portuguese from one of the many countries these two ruled in the 18th century.
18th century with a lovely colour and patina, this interesting figure must have been hard to carve given the dense grain in this heavy piece of unusual timber, possibly a teak.
