Two early 17th Century Portuguese silver pyx, with gilt interiors, unmarked:-
The larger one is approx. 6 ½ inches tall and 4 inches in diameter, and weighs approx. 7 ½ ozs. – £5,500.
The smaller one is approx. 4 inches tall and 3 ½ inches in diameter, and weighs approx. 7 ozs. – £4,500.
Both pieces were included in an exhibition at the ‘Museu Nacional’ in Porto in June/July 2007.
