Two Colour Gold and Enamel Pair Cased Verge.
An 18th Century Swiss verge in two colour gold and enamel pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with pentagonal baluster pillars. Pierced and engraved masked cock, pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc.
Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm gilt balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Signed white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative stone set pierced silver hands.
Gold pair cases, plain gold inner case with number corresponding to that on the movement. Engine turned and engraved outer case with applied gold decoration, the front bezel set with a row of clear stones.
On the back a stone set pierced mask bordering an oval polychrome enamel portrait of a lady wearing a colourful hat.
