A wonderful example of 19th century marine timekeeping, by the leading maker Frodsham in partnership with Keen, the partnership dating between 1856 - 1878 according to the literature.
Housed in a super burr walnut three tier case fully brass mounted with original lacquer. A stunning piece and a fine example of items of its kind.
The dial numbered is 2733 which is also found on the movement and the bottom of the bowl.
Eight day marine chronometers such as this example where made for private yatchs.
