Lovely rare green main field colour on this contemporary Sultanabad carpet using classical designs from the famous carpets woven in Persia, Sultanabad in the late 19th century. Ziegler and Sultanabad have long been names associated with the most decorative and beautiful carpets. Hand-woven using natural dyes and hand-spun wool, these contemporary carpets have gorgeous subtle colours. Green is a rare dye in antique carpets and still expensive today to produce in fine contemporary carpets such as this one, we have never had a contemporary Sultanabad carpet with a green main field colour! So it is exciting to offer this in our collection, we think it looks quite beautiful!
