THIS WONDERFUL OAK AND POLYCHROME ENGLISH SCULPTURE DEPICTS A STANDING KNIGHT HOLDING A CASKET IN HIS LEFT HAND AND STANDING ON A WONDERFUL CHARACTERFUL RECUMBENT LION WITH FLOWING MANE. SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNTS OF THE ORIGINAL POLYCHROME DECORATION REMAIN.
