A mid 19th Century French cylinder in a diamond set gold and bloodstone open face case. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilt Breguet hands. Small 18 carat open face case with coin edge middle. The gold bezel for the back set with a polished bloodstone overlaid with a substantial pierced gold plate set with diamonds in the form of Arabic characters. Wound and set through the signed gold cuvette.
