Silver Pair Cased Speed the Plough.

An early 19th Century English verge with painted “Speed the Plough” dial in silver pair cases.  Full plate fusee movement with round pillars.  Pierced and engraved round masked cock, gilt regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance. White enamel dial with central polychrome scene of a farmer ploughing his field with two horses.  Roman numerals, gilt hands. Matching silver pair cases, silver oval pendant and bow.  The inner engraved “John Bullock – 1860”, maker’s mark “WL”.
