A fine early 20th Century freesprung centre seconds English lever deck watch and box. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement engraved with the broad ministry arrow. Plain cock with diamond endstone. Freesprung compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones.
Signed and numbered white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial plain silver open face case maker's mark "F.T" in an oval, "London" below and number corresponding to that on the movement. The case constructed without a front bezel or cuvette, gilt winding button. Mahogany two tier deck box, the watch secured in a brass drum by a glazed brass screw bezel. Signed and numbered circular bone plaque marked with the broad ministry arrow on the top lid.
