Sterling Silver Sherry Decanter Label or Bottle Ticket by Leslie Durbin, engraved 'SHERRY', hallmarked for the coronation year of Queen Elizabeth, London 1953.

Durbin was responsible for many important institutional commissions, namely the Stalingrad Sword of Honour and four designs for the reverse of the pound coin during the 1980's.

Born 1913, Durbin was apprenticed to Omar Ramsden between 1929-38. He held all the Goldsmith's Company's scholarships. In 1945 he established a workshop in partnership with Leonard Moss, who also worked with Omar Ramsden.
