Sheraton oval inlaid mahogany tea caddy.
The lid with brass hinge and lock inlaid with oval satinwood panel with fine conch shell motif within boxwood stringing.
The box all with highly figured veneers and to the front inlay of swags and husks hanging from floral paterae within strung columns. The interior retains part of the original tea box pewter lining.
English, circa 1780 – 1800.
