AN EXTENSIVE SET OF TEN VICTORIAN CAST IRON CAMPANA SHAPED GARDEN URNS ON PEDESTALS
Circa 1890
With gadrooned lip and scrolling foliate banding, the handles issuing from Bacchic masks, probably painted on Victoria Press’s guidance to simulate stone. The stepped free-standing pedestals with foliate wreaths on all four faces.
Measurements: The urns 24” (61cm) high. The pedestals 18 ¼” (46.5cm) high by 14” (36cm) square
Provenance: The late Victoria Press, her house on Cheyne Walk.
