A drawing with pastel of a seated nude. Drawn during Butterfield's 'decade of success' with galleries in both Paris and London, he reached his high watermark around this time, also exhibiting with the Seven and Five Society. His fame however dwindled, and he died in obscurity.
Works are held in the Leeds City Art Gallery, the Hepworth Wakefield and Sheffield City Museums and Galleries.
An exhibition of Butterfield's work was held 2018/19 at Leeds City Art Gallery.
