A fine Regency burr yew wood tea caddy.
A wonderful little sarcophagus shaped tea caddy veneered in superbly figured burr yew wood with boxwood stringing. It has brass ring handles with cornucopia pressed brass back plates and stands on pressed brass flower and berry feet.
The interior has its original yew wood compartment lids and ruched velvet lid lining. Circa 1810. 8 1/2 inches wide x 4 1/2 inches deep x 6 1/2 inches high.
