A Refined Occasional Tripod Table In the Manner of Jackson & Graham.
Of beautiful construction from burr walnut, ebony and specimen woods with understated ormolu accents, the tripod table rising from curved legs with rectangular cross-section conjoined by an incurved platform, above emanating three stems with fluted inlay supporting the circular top with ebonised edge, crossbanding and boxwood stringing. Stamped by Gregory & Co of Regent Street.

Gregory & Co, founded in 1859, is consistently listed among the top London firms producing furniture during the second half of the nineteenth century. Catering to a variety of styles, they employed well-known designers such as Charles Bevan, and were noted exhibitors at several exhibitions including Chicago 1893.
