These cushions are made from two complete borders of a 17th century verdure tapestry so they are in aesthetic harmony. They depict profuse floral sprays and each cushion has a good pictorial composition.
They have been cleaned and conserved and are in excellent, stable condition and retain their original colouring notably the blues which are generally faded away. The backs have been upholstered in a modern, aged velvet.
