An early 19th Century rare pearl and ruby encrusted gold open face watch. Fitted with a Swiss cylinder Keywind gilt bar movement, plain cock with polished steel regulator. Wound through the gilt dial with Arabic numerals, blue steel hands.
Fine gold open face case the bezels set with a row of pink rubies each circled by split pearls. The back encrusted with graduated split pearls in a geometric pattern set around a central ruby.
The background of the design filled with many hundreds of tiny split pearls entirely covering the back. Pearl set pendant, ruby and pearl set bow. Green morocco covered presentation case.
