The silver gilt fan fluted bowl is embossed with a spray of two leaves and a flower head.
The cast handle is formed as a scrolling branch with two leaves near the bowl and terminating in a looped flower.
This very rare design was peculiar to the workshops of Hilliard & Thomason and a near identical example can be seen in "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie, Plate 57, fig f.
The Spoon is in excellent condition.
