The Salt Cellars are modelled in the very unusual "Tub" form with inset carrying handles and gadrooned borders.

The side of the main body is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials and the bases display a full set of marks, including the double duty mark, where the King's Head appears twice.

This is only ever seen in 1797. A very rare design, with a very rare set of hallmarks, displaying fine interior gilding.
