A very rare mahogany decanter stand by James Mein of Kelso. Raised on three original leather castors, having a dished top with a hand carved gadrooned edge. The 18th century Masonic cut glass decanter is engraved Lodge 154. ('St Anthony' is in Aberdeenshire). Possibly made in Newcastle, having a target stopper, finely engraved with the Scottish thistle and the English rose. Circa 1780.
