A rare Japanese bronze group of Buddha holding a child who in turn is holding up a peach.
Late 18th century.
Standing on an upturned lotus flower which is mounted on an inscribed octagonal base.
One of the inscriptions is a temple dedication, another dates it to the Edo period of Kansei (1789-1801). Another names the four donors.
