A small and rare George I bronze candlestick.
Probably dating to about 1720, this lovely little candlestick stands just 3 1/2 inches high.
Despite its small size, it is quite heavy and is cast in bronze which has taken on a wonderful patinated finish.
The stubby stem is secured to the base by turned screw.
