Rare Chinese Export Porcelain Bowl and Stand

From the William Beckford Table Service, Fonthill.

Late 18th Century.

Bearing the arms and crest of Beckford, repeated four times around the rim of the plates.

Diameter: 6” (5.5cm).

There is a very small octagonal plate (9cms) in Beckford’s Tower and Museum which is from the same service and most probably commissioned by Alderman Beckford, Lord Mayor London (1763-1770), father of William Beckford.
