Pearl Set Gold and Enamel Verge.

A late 18th Century Swiss verge in a pearl set gold and enamel case. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  

Silver regulator dial with gilt indicator. Winding through the signed white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. Gold open face case with pearl set bezels, gold pendant and bow.

Unusual back set with white stones and decorated in red and gilt enamel on a black ground. At the base a stylised sun below the gilt decorated red enamel arc. Above this a crescent moon set with white stones.
