Pearl Set Gold and Enamel French Verge.

Depth: 7 mm.

A late 18th Century French verge in a pearl set gold and enamel consular case.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator.  Round pillars.  

Wound through the signed white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, gold beetle and poker hands.  Gold consular case, sprung front bezel opened by depressing a button in the gold pendant.  Front and back bezels set with a single row of large split pearls.  The back of translucent green enamel over a line engine turned ground.  Geometric  gilt decoration.
