A PAPIER-MACHE CHESS TABLE INLAID WITH MOTHER-OF-PEARL

The papier-mache table lacquered and inlaid with mother-of-pearl overall with some painted decoration and raised areas of bantam-work to the top.
The table having a square top with rounded corners, with a central inlaid chess board,the wide borders decorated with Chinoiserie scenes with figures and landscapes in bantam-work, the central column support with hexagonal lower section, on a triform base with bun feet concealing castors beneath.
