A Very Decorative Pair of Minton Porcelain Cabinet Plates Depicting Putto at Play.
Each plate is finely painted in the manner of Thomas Kirkby, with putto figures to the centre framed by a deep blue reserve within finely tooled gilt borders.
The borders are of rare and unusual design with stylised leaves and pendants framed by an outer white porcelain rim with a border of red and gilt diamond-shaped motifs.
Impressed Marks for Minton and year Cypher for 1881.
