A Pair of Japanese Kakiemon Style Dishes.
Of circular form, decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt in the Kakiemon style over a clear glaze, painted with two plump quail among millet, prunus, bamboo and banded hedges, the rim glazed in iron-oxide, the base glazed and with one spur mark.
Period: Edo Period, circa 1700.
