A Pair of French Antique Mahogany and Ormolu Commodes.
Constructed in mahogany, dressed with gilt bronze mounts, and having Languedoc Rouge marble platforms; rising from swept cabriole legs, mounted with scrolled gilt bronze toes, and foliate espagnolettes over, conjoined with shaped aprons; incorporating three shaped and lockable drawers, having panelled oak linings, set with foliate bronze handles and keyhole escutcheons; the sides are of shaped panelled form, and the marble platforms have thumbnail moulded edges.
