A pair of early Victorian yew-wood chairs.  The open-work backs richly carved with leafy scroll-work surrounding a carved central amorial of a bird of prey on a fist*;  the shaped seats mounted on cabriole legs.   Rich colour and patination.  Circa 1840.

*The crest is associated with the Acland family of Devon.
