Pair Early Regency Side Chairs English Circa 1810.
Fine Pair of Pure English Regency Mahogany Library - Hall Chairs which one woud confidently assume to be Gillows Lancaster and London , having the unusual feature of the cross-framed design normally found on widow stools and footstools .The use of the cane back giving a lighter less cumbersome and more graceful balance effect in what would be normally a rather masculine hallway or library.
One coulld possibly give credence to the names of Thomas Chippendale Junior and Holland and of course Thomas Sheraton whose use of the X frame was a constant reoccuring theme.
