A pair of fine early 19th century gilt candlesticks converted to lamps without interference to the candlesticks.
The original gilding is decorated with a finely detailed acanthus and stylized flower motif. Circa 1830.
These lamps are small in scale but can be used equally effectively either end of a larger piece of furniture as on an occasional table or dressing table.
Measurements:
Height of candlestick 10″ or 26 cm.
Height including the silk coolie shades 20″ or 51 cm.
Diameter of base 5″ or 12.50 cm.
