Pair of bronze ‘Medici’ lions
Cast bronze Grand Tour lions, after the originals in marble, which by 1598 were placed at the Villa Medici, Rome but since 1789 have stood on the steps of the Loggia dei Lanzi at the Piazza della Signoria in Florence.
Each lion outward facing and with raised paw upon a ball, raised upon bronze plinths.
