An oak bust of St John the Evangelist.
Circa 1500, this bust depicts St John the Evangelist as he was typically shown as a young man with a graceful, clean shaven face and long curling locks.
Probably German possibly Nuremberg, it has a lovely grey patination despite slight losses is very charming. It stands 8 inches high.
