Contemporary Rug Art Carpet in the Erased Heritage series by Jan Kath. The origin of the design is based on a sixteenth century Egyptian Mamluk carpet. The 'Sky' effect in blue silk appears to be overlaying the 'background' of the traditional carpet design.
