A late Victorian freestanding satinwood Carlton House desk. The curved rectangular top with the typical arrangement of six small drawers and a central cupboard around three sides, enclosing a leathered writing surface, sloping downwards to the front. Decorated back and front with oval panels of radiating petals reserved on a dark harewood ground. The frieze with one long and two short drawers. All set upon square section tapering legs. English, circa 1880.
