Large Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase – Mt Fuji – Ando Company.
As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this large Taisho period 1912-1926 , circa 1920’s , cloisonné vase by the Ando Jubei company , this large scale high quality vase depicts a mountainous scene , a striking snow capped Mt Fuji rises in the distance worked in musen ( wireless ) enamel technique , pine trees climb high in the foreground worked in traditional silver wired technique’s and surrounded by a magical morning mist , once again finished in musen enamel and shaded superbly , heavily counter enameled to the interior the vase is fitted with solid silver mounts and is signed to the underside with the Ando company seal , a striking piece of cloisonné enamel from the late Meiji/ Taisho period , it would light up any Japanese themed room setting or enhance your cloisonné or Japanese works of art collection .
