Large Italian Faenza polychrome maiolica albarello, circa 1550.
Painted in blue, yellow, ochre, copper green, orange and brown with a circular cartouche containing a portrait of a man with the name 'Andriano' on a banner, reserved against panels of scrolling foliage.
With the inscription 'Sy. de Isop' in gothic letters. The shoulder with a band of interwoven leaves, and the flared based decorated with further panels of scrolling foliage.
