Large Chinese famille verte dish.

Kangxi (1662-1722).

The centre decorated with a mythical beast amongst rockwork and a plantain, surrounded by four panels of various beasts including a deer, leopard, lion.

The border rim with a li wen background containing cartouches of various flowers. The reverse decorated in the centre with an artemisia leaf within a double circle in underglaze blue.
