Late Georgian Brass Dog's Collar engraved around with the owner's name John Challenor Junr of BIDDULPH.
Middle option internal diameter 5 1/8 inch; height 1 1/4 inch.
Excellent old colour and patina.
John Challenor Jun was likely the son of John Challenor of Overton, in Biddulph. He lived at Blackwood Hall.
The nearby Grange Farm is thought also to have been built by Challenor; his initials are on a barn at this farm dated 1834.
