Japanese bronze tiger: A Japanese bronze figure of a recumbent tiger, beautifully cast, patinated and finished, seated upon a root wood base. The tiger is a fine example of a number of collaborative works between renowned artist Atsuyoshi and the well regarded Maruki Company that consistently produced high end, quality works of art in a variety of mediums. The underside of the tiger, bears both of their seal marks. Meiji Period (1868-1912).
