Inspired by the RHSJapanese bronze koro (incense burner) decorated with birds among wisteria branches inlaid in silver, copper and gilt. The pierced cover with butterflies and a chrysanthemum blossom, the feet cast with mythological beasts, signed Inoue sei 井上製 (made by the Inoue Company of Kyoto), Meiji Period.
